Re: Alisher Usmanov anyone?
So far old school Chelsea i know have seen them lift a good few PL titles FA Cup's and even the ultimate CL.

Yet some of us think that we should do it the Spurs way of raping lower leagues of their talent to sell on for extreme money for them to spend it all on top players.

Neither is right but the former actually gets you to places we can only dream of which is what football is really about.

Full Claret Jacket. It would be nice if we could build slowly and sensibly but we are not. The club is just happy existing. There does not seem any real ambition with our owners.

All this 'we might turn into Chelsea' is wearing a bit thin now. Is Sullivan a better owner than Abramovich? Would Chelsea want to turn into us? ie, a joke? Don't we want to win anything?

As for Usmanov, decent shout, but realistically not gonna happen. I assume he would have to sell his 30% stake at Arsenal if he wants to buy another PL club.

This lot are not building "slowly and sensibly." They are firefighting every year in a desperate attempt to stay in the money league. So they can sell for the maximum amount when the profit share clauses in our stadium contract expires. T

This chap has been around English football for years, hates the guy who owns Arsenal and has the money to launch us into the big time and buy our ground.

Turn into Chelsea?

Take a look at what they have won since the Russian took over.

Would not mind that at all.

The only thing we'll build with the clowns who currently own us are diminishing memories of hope.

Re: Alisher Usmanov anyone?
Death of our club if we give it to some idiot foreign owner. With so many examples of failed foreign ownership, I'd rather stick with what we have and build slowly and sensibly.
Yes it will mean will mean we probably never get champions league football and have to sell our best players all the time but whats new.
Why are people so eager to risk everything for the slim chance of some success?

If we had a decent manager we could have competed in Europa league and the cups this year. No reason we shouldn't aim for that as a step in the right direction.

The likes of Usmanov don't care about the club and supporters - only their own egos and the pecking order in the billionaires club.
